Do you sell plus size clothing?

Yes! Most of our designs are offered in sizes up to 4X or 5X. Inclusive sizing is a huge priority for us, so if you see something you like that isn't in your size yet, reach out to us to learn more about when it might become available! 

Do you sell men's clothing?

Our clothing is designed for women's sizing, but all clothing can be worn by all genders. We have many masculine presenting customers that love and wear our designs. We're a small brand (with just two people working behind the scenes) and currently don't have the funding to expand into a dedicated men's collection, but we're hoping to in the future! 

Where are your products made?

Our clothing is designed in the US by the owner, Victoria, and in collaboration with our team of pattern makers and manufacturers in Nepal. We've worked closely with them for years and take care to ensure the ethical production of our products, which is why we fly from the US to visit them and the factories in person.  We also source a select few items from independent artists/crafters, such as our jewelry, which is handmade in Scotland. 

How do I take care of my Dark Cottage clothing?

The best way to care for any clothing is to hand wash in cold water and hang dry or dry clean. However, we've tested all of our items to be sure they can handle gentle machine washing and drying, with any exceptions or specific recommendations listed in the product description. If this is what you choose, we recommend washing inside out in cold water on delicate with similarly colored items, and drying on delicate low heat. Some fabrics, such as cotton, may be susceptible to mild shrinkage. Some items (particularly with embroidery) can be protected by using a mesh garment bag and washing inside out. 

When will I receive my pre-order / special order items?

You can expect to receive most pre-orders or special orders within 90-120 days. When an item is available for preorder, a text box with an estimated arrival time will appear on the listing. 

Something I want is out of stock. Will it be restocked?

Maybe! You can sign up for restock notifications on the listing by selecting your size and color. If there's something that isn't currently on our site but was in the past, you can email us at info@darkcottage.com to find out specific availability.

Where are you located? Do you have a physical store?

Our warehouse is located at 1014 Lafayette Blvd. in Fredericksburg, VA (USA). We don't have a physical store at this time, but we do vend some east coast events such as Virginia Renaissance Faire, MAGFest, Katsucon, Faeble LARP, and other local markets. Can I change my order?

If we have not already shipped out your order, sure! Email us with your order number and what it is you would like to change. info@darkcottage.com 

How do I cancel my order?

We are able to cancel your order if you email us before we ship out your items. If we have already shipped them, you will have to wait for the items to arrive, and then you may return them.

How do I return or exchange an item?

Contact us by email (info@darkcottage.com) with your order number and details of your return, and we can provide you with a return label.  Visit our Returns page to view our full return policy. 

Do you ship internationally?

Anywhere in the world that USPS and UPS can ship to, we can ship to.

How long does shipping take?

In stock items are typically packed and shipped same day or within 1-2 business days. Once shipped, it typically takes 2-5 business days to arrive most places in the US. International shipments may take two weeks or longer.

How much does shipping cost?

For US orders standard shipping is a flat rate of $10, or free for orders over $150. We also offer Priority, 2-Day Shipping, and Overnight shipping rates. International shipping is calculated based on weight and location, and international customers are responsible for any customs/import fees that may incur.

Do you sell gift cards?

We do! Gift cards are e-mailed directly to the recipient. Currently, we do not have an option for physical gift cards.
